ITIL Certification Renewal

ITIL credential needs to be renewed after every three years. The renewal process requires the certificate holder to accumulate 60 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points in period of 3 years. The CPD points can be earned through the following ways:

  • Professional experience: 15 points of 20 points per year need to be earned through professional experience.

  • Industry events: 5 points can be earned through industry events or from taking further courses.

Industry events that can be attended: ITSM conferences, ITIL workshops, events like Future Fest, Pakistan Tech Summit, INMIC, etc.

Courses that can be taken: Project management courses like PMP, PMI-ACP, Oracle Primavera P6, business analysis course like CBAP or IT courses such as IT audit, cloud applications, cyber security or higher ITIL level courses.

One CPD point equals to 1 hour of participation.

Renewal fee GBP 120, payable to AXELOS or PeopleCert.
